Tuesday, April 15: monthly Members meeting --- 7:30 pm
Last meeting before our 2008 Annual Banquet on April 26; get your tickets from Pat Hanna and give Sandra Sparkes any items you are donating/have collected for the auction fundraiser.
 
SATURDAY, APRIL 19 – TILLSONBURG AIRPORT
If all goes well, we will be celebrating the arrival of our newest Harvard 20436. This coming Saturday Greg Burnard and Bjarni Tryggvason will be taking possession of her from Bill Lamon in Eugene Oregon and during the following week will be flying her home to Tillsonburg. Greg has said he will keep us posted of their progress, so please check the front page of our website in the next few days for ongoing reports and a schedule of events. We wish Bjarni and Greg safe flights and look forward to shaking their hands at the celebration for 20436.

Guest Speaker on March 15: Geophysicist Bill Thuma, spoke to us on the recovery of Glacier Girl from the icy fields of Greenland. For more detailed info on this fascinating recovery and restoration project, go to:
 
Please remember: We send CHAA cards and notes regularly to members we know of who have lost loved ones, may be ill or recovering from surgery or hospital stay and for other reasons. At the Annual Banquet on April 26, members who joined in 1997 will receive their 10 year pin and those who have been members since 1988 will be presented with a 20 year pin. Hope to see each of you at the Annual Banquet at the Woodstock Legion.

Plans for the Harvard Hawks in 2008: a Games Day and a Fly Day in the fall.
CHAA MAILOUT FUNDRAISER: Thank you to all members who responded to CHAA’s Mailout Fundraiser; donations totaled $15408.00, which was 96% of our projected goal of $16000.00. This is a fantastic response! Final results and a list of donors were printed in the April edition of the ROAR. Donors are listed on the website as well under Fundraising. 2008 CHAA Dates
Sat, July 12 -- BUS TRIP TO GENESEO AIRSHOW (www.1941hag.org) -- Maureen Irie This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
Maureen needs your commitment NOW; contact her today if you are planning to be on the bus to this great airshow!
Bus will leave the Tillsonburg Airport between 6 and 6:30 AM. The cost is $100 (adult) and $88 (children under 12 years of age) which includes: the return bus trip to the air show, admission, and a steak dinner at the airport. After dinner, everyone will board the bus to head home. If you would are planning to attend, contact Maureen (email address above) for info on where to send your cheque payable to the Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association along with each person’s contact information (name, address and phone number).
Remember: each passenger is responsible for ensuring they have the proper photo ID for presentation at the Border and their own insurance coverage for outside Canada. A passport is best, but if you do not have one then your birth certificate along with photo id will work too.
