A sincere thank you to

addition to information on all of our airplanes, news, a gallery, info on
joining CHAA and other timely topics, he has included a site to experience the

vBingo
News:
Due directly to monies raised through monthly Bingos in London, we will be
making the last loan payment on our Hangar in November, 2005! We are so
very appreciative of the efforts of the members who work these bingos each
month. If you live in the London area and are able to give one night a
month, your help is needed to ensure we are able to continue with this major
CHAA fundraiser. For more info on upcoming bingo dates and how you can
help, contact Bill Shepard (Fundraising chair and Board member) at

Marion reports membership has been quiet in June. She and Ray were at the
airport last Tuesday and enjoyed the day, watching the Tiger Moth which has
already been flown for fifteen hours this year! Gift certificates are
available for a backseat ride in a Harvard or Tiger Moth.

-431 Air Demonstration Squadron "The Snowbirds" gave us
their usual superb performance on the 26th June, ably supported by the F-18 from
Virginia Beach Naval Air Station. Great turn out, and the Yale, RZW and the
Tiger Moth were on display. What a day!
-RZW
is at Spectrum Aviation. Nick and Bruce have the masking pretty well done and
most of the spot priming is complete. Full prime should be finished by the
weekend.
-RWN
is out of service waiting for a starter which should arrive by the 6th July.
Trevor is hopeful it will be set for Geneso this weekend.
-WPK is sitting on the
north side of the Restorations hangar with both wings off. Replacement flanges
should arrive shortly and will be put in place as soon as possible.
-Work on the Yale has slowed somewhat. The troops are busy
doing what they can and will be looking for new direction next week. Anyone with
any ideas or suggestions for the next Restoration project please let us know. We
are hoping to get some ideas to take to the Board for approval.
Thank you to the members of the
restoration Group for their recent donation to CHAA which goes toward the Yale’s
first flight.

CHAA Dive RecoveryTeam:

This team is determined to research, locate, survey and recover heritage
craft which have crashed in the waters of Ontario. View this easy to navigate,
up to date and informative site for the latest CHAA news, along with information
on the Dive Team’s search tools and technologies, view photos of search efforts
and read news on the search to locate a sunken Harvard. The following quote from
their home page says it all, “We’re proud to serve the Canadian Harvard Aircraft
Association and do our part, as conscientious divers, to locate and share our
country’s heritage”. We wish them safe dives and much success!

vSeeking
Old Acquaintances: Mr. Ralph Forbes,
of Kitchener, Ontario,
spent 15 hours in CHAA’s own 3191 during training in Ottawa in 1944-45 while
a member of Flight 101; he had a backseat ride two years ago in 3191 and
calls it a “trip down memory lane”. Mr. Forbes would welcome a
reunion with anyone who might have been with him at Uplands in Flight 101.
(Send your messages for Mr. Forbes to
