http://1941hag.org/files_airshow/airshow2007.html

Seven Harvards are heading to Geneseo on July 13 - four CHAA planes piloted by Greg Burnard, Greg Tyrell, Dave Martin and Bill Shepard along with the Canadian Harvard Aerobatic Team: Pete Spence, Dave Hewitt and Kent Beckham.  Airshow commentary will be given by longtime CHAA member Honorary Colonel Charley Fox. We always receive a warm welcome in Geneseo and this year we have a bus load of aviation enthusiasts going as well. Yes, the bus trip is happening, thanks to all the hard work put into this project by Maureen Merlo ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it 519-425-4449). Gates open at 6:00 AM. Show starts 10:00 AM. CHAA Stores merchandise will be available all 3 days. Some of the planes we will be able to see (up close and personal) are: B-17 "Memphis Belle" David Tallichet, B-17 Liberty Belle Liberty Foundation, Hurricane Mk XII & Spitfire Mk IX [Fighter Factory®], Spitfire Mk XVI Vintage Wings, B-2 Spirit Whiteman AFB, Sukhoi Su-26M Acrobatics by Rick Volker and more Harvards and Texans than you can count.

June was another very busy month - 30 new members. Several members with gift certificates took advantage of the Members' Fly Day on June 16 and had their anticipated flight.
June 23 and 24 many CHAA members were in St. Thomas for the airshow.  CHAA aircraft were there on June 21 doing media flights, June 22 for the practice and on July 23 and 24; the 'birds' flew in early and left late. Go to www.wingsnwheels.ca and view some great photos from the show including pictures (by Shutters Studios) of the CF-18 and our Harvard during the Heritage Flight. During the Sunday show, this flight was most nostalgic, from the music played while the aircraft were overhead to the message sent from the Governor General.  CHAA members are very proud to have had one of our pilots (Dave Hewitt) fly this flight before the thousands of spectators.

To all gift certificate holders: Members' Fly Days are the best opportunity for you to use your certificate.  Hope to see you July 21, August 18, September 8 or 9.
See you all at the airport!

Stores at the Hangar: All our merchandise is available for purchase at the hangar on Meeting nights, most Tuesdays & Saturdays, as well as at special events. Please contact Bruce Tapp or myself.

Grampa’s Attic in Ingersol at 149 Thames Street: CHAA member Tom Smith carries a selection of CHAA merchandise at his store which is open Monday to Saturday.

Web sales and mail order: CHAA members Walther Irie and Bill Tully are working on a complete redesign of CHAA’s website combining the Dive Recovery site and Harvards.com. The initial focus will be the Online Storefront and catalogue. In time I am looking for this to be a profitable sales outlet.

Airshows and other public venues: The next big event will be in Geneseo on July 13 to 15. For this show we will set up on Friday afternoon and pack up Sunday evening; “many hands make light work” as these times can be and often are busier times than during most of the show!

If you are interested in working with us this season we will require assistance at the Geneseo airshow, at the hangar and with the development and running of our web business. If you have any questions and/or wish to help, please drop me an email or call.
