6. THE CHAA STORY: Linda Brimson linda.brimson@yahoo.com (519) 659-0628
For the last several months, CHAA Life Member, Linda Brimson has been diligently compiling the history of our organization. She has plenty of work ahead in finalizing the content and getting the book formatted. Please contact her ASAP, and before Jan. 21, 2018 at the latest, if you have any further contributions for her to consider. In her words — “I welcome the chance to highlight the interesting people, planes and events of CHAA.” Her target is to have a book launch in April of 2018.

7. SEEKING NOMINATIONS: At our Banquet in April we show appreciation for several members who have contributed in one way or another to our organization. A few years ago, we began the Bob Hewitt Award which has since been chosen by the membership and presented to the member(s) who have contributed significantly to the success of CHAA in the previous year. Please give this some thought and have your nomination(s) for the 2017 year to me by April 2.

8. NEW FILM BEING PRODUCED…LOOKING FOR STORIES:
CHAA Life Member, Keith Robb has brought the following to our attention:

I remain in touch with several organizations linking the aviation and military worlds, and have just received an e-mail through the RCAF association, from Mr. Bob Barrett, a director, who recently did a series of 1 hour films call “A Nation Soars”, about Canadian Pilots in WWI.

He is looking at doing another film that “would cover the history and role of the RCAF in Canadian culture. Mapping our country, flying commercial aircraft, leading in our communities, these are the contributions I wish to document.”

If any of you have experience in these fields and would wish to participate in this project, please let me know and I will put you in touch with Mr. Barrett.

Also, if anyone knows of people who would be suitable that this e-mail will not reach, can you please let them know about this and inquire if they would be interested?

Thank you very much. Looking forward to hearing from you,
Keith Robb flyerkeith@rogers.com
