– FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE: Michael Lawrence mlawrence4457@hotmail.com

— Mailout Fundraiser: Our annual mailout fundraiser will happen this year, with the goal of raising funds towards an engine overhaul.  The support of our membership with this fundraiser has been phenomenal and you can look for this initiative to happen very soon.

— Donate-a-Car Canada:  We have been working hard on creating a partnership with Donate-a-Car Canada to help you deal with your surplus vehicles.  You can now donate your vehicle to CHAA (through this unique link) and get a tax receipt for your donation!  This is a great new opportunity for you to donate to CHAA now, receive a tax receipt for next spring, and be secure in the knowledge that you’re helping CHAA continue into the future! Click here to access our exclusive direct link to get the process started.  If you prefer to talk to a real person, you can also call    1-877-250-4904 to get started as well!

THE CHAA STORY in TEXT & PHOTOS:

Linda Brimson linda.brimson@yahoo.com tells us work on The CHAA Story is progressing nicely and reminds us we need to get our contributions to her ASAP.

REMINDER: Linda is putting together a book on the history of CHAA! Quite an undertaking and we applaud her for her interest in and enthusiasm for this huge project.  When this book is printed, we hope not to hear anyone saying, “Why is this information not included; it’s so important, it should have been added.” You get the picture!  If you have CHAA stories and other information, Linda would love to hear those in order to make this book as complete as possible. Email her! She also needs CHAA PHOTOS (dated from 1985 to today) to add to the book which will be sold on its completion.  Contact her and she will take it from there.

– CHRISTMAS 2017…just over 2 months away! CHAA Stores will have some Christmas specials coming soon.

– Mark your new 2018 calendars with this special date! Saturday, April 21, 2018…the CHAA Annual Banquet and Fund Raising Auction featuring Special Guest Speaker, Leon Evans, Chief Pilot at the Canadian Warplane Heritage. After a distinguished career with Air Canada, Leon was one of the Lancaster pilots for the incredible tour of England in 2014! Tickets will be available in February 2018.

– MARCO BOOSTS CHAA: October 11, 2017

Kelly MacDonald is a TV personality with Accessible Media Inc (AMI) who hosts Blight Sighted where he takes on one challenge after another. In the following clip you will see him with Marco Rusconi, #4 Pilot with the Canadian Harvard Aerobatic Team (CHAT) out of Woodstock Ontario. Marco teaches Kelly the finer points of his Mk IV Harvard 20307 (CF-FBD), then they take to the skies.  Enjoy!
